Andrew Jackson

I love "Old Hickory", what a hard-ass. General Jackson whooped the British at the Battle of New Orleans, and he did it almost a month after the War of 1812 was over. In 1835 a deranged house-painter tried to assassinate President Jackson, but both his pistols misfired. The President then started beating the man with his cane until his aides restrained him. How funny is that?

Lewis "Chesty" Puller

Lewis Puller enlisted in the Corps in 1918 at the age of twenty. That day he and the Corps formed a bond that would forever link them together in history. "Chesty" received his nickname for his barrel chest, but he became a legend in his own time while serving valiantly in Haiti, Nicaragua, the Pacific during WW2, and Korea. His record of earning five Navy Crosses for valor has never been matched, nor has his place in Corps history as one of the finest combat officers ever. Good night, Chesty Puller, wherever you are!

Nathan Bedford Forrest

One of the most unusual figures during the Civil War, Forrest was known for his brutal killer instinct. He enlisted as a Private, then rose to the rank of General and his innovative cavalry tactics dumbfounded the Northern Command.

Love him or hate him, he was truly one in a million. Also, I think Forrest Gump was named after him. So you know... He's got that goin' for him.

Ben Franklin

One of America's Founding Fathers and the U.S. version of Da Vinci. Old Ben did it all. He could paint, print, write and was a statesmen, activist, and diplomat. How bad would it suck to be his brother? "Why don't you be more like Ben?"

Franklin has some of the best quotes of all time. Enjoy the products or go fly a kite in a lightning storm.
